In this regard, we acknowledge that our success is mostly justified due to the behaviour and collaboration of our clients in the judicial phase, essentially during the trial and the production of evidence phases, where there must be a detailed approach and personal interaction between lawyer and client.

Therefore, the present award constitutes an honour for us, despite the fact the internationally we are known as a Boutique Law Firm, our activity on the field of Litigation covers the majority of the branches of law, namely judicial and arbitral litigation, criminal law, civil law (family, succession), commercial (commercial contracts), company law (legally challenge corporate resolutions, voting rights, etc.), credit collection, insolvency proceedings, contractual and non-contractual liability  (medical, health insurance, life, automotive, banking and finance), labour law, intellectual property (trade secrecy), liability of public authorities, public procurement and construction etc.

Furthermore, on the field of tax law our partner Dr. Gabriela Pinheiro  (Lawyer and a Professor of Higher Education) was awarded the "Reader's Choice - Tax Law Firm of the Year in Portugal".  Nowadays, the importance of this field has become more acute. Not only several legal reforms had taken place both on corporate tax (IRC) and individual’s tax (IRS), but also these reforms were followed by a general increase on tax burden on companies and individuals, justifying an urgent and effective tax planning, within the parameters allowed by the law.

Regarding the year of 2016, we will continue focus on the judicial activity, given that the new Government has announced new reforms, particularly on tax, labour and public procurement law and the transposition/implementation of important European instruments, especially the Directive 2014/104/EU “Private Enforcement”, concerning damages legal claims for infringements of competition law, under national law.
